Preparing for History…We Hope
Saturday, June 7th, 2008After Big Brown won the Preakness a few weeks ago we knew we were in trouble. It meant that the colt would be making a run for the record books in a few weeks at the Belmont Race track which just happens to be in my home state of New York.
Horse racing is all about prep work and remote cameras. You try to think of every angle you need to cover the race, string everything together and hope they all fire at the right time. Al Bello, Nick Laham Jeff Zelevansky and myself arrived at the track at 8am on Friday and began the arduous task of setting up and wiring our eight remotes.
If Big Brown wins the race it will be the first time we have had a triple crown winner in 30 years. If not………. man that would suck!!!
Stay tuned to see how things turn out.
