Paris Hilton’s My New BFF premiered on MTV Tuesday night… and it was HOT. Sixteen Paris Hilton BFF potentials made their débuts and by the end of the first episode 5 had already been sent home.  After the cuts, Paris said goodbye until next week stating “Okay I have to get back to my life now”.  I know many of you are rolling your eyes or gagging over your keyboard but Paris is definitely a busy woman.  While she is “famous for being famous” she is also a businesswoman, movie/TV star, singer, entertainer, fashion designer, model, author and more.  People love to hate her and people hate to love her.  Stay tuned for more of Paris’ BFF search where she hopes to find someone who loves her just as much as she loves herself…which may prove to be a real challenge.

All of the girls who showed up to the premiere of The House Bunny in New York City on Monday looked cute, but Emma Stone was exceptionally so wearing a colorful marbleized satiny dress and electric blue patent leather heels. This vivid look has been around the block, but it still has the staying power of true eye candy. Stone’s punchy heels are in stark contrast to the neutral pair of Louboutin’s that Hayden Panettiere wore to the Whaleman Foundation Benefit last week. Though Panettiere’s Barbie flesh patent leather pumps elicited an attraction/repulsion response, my lasting impression is positive. Will extreme neutrality rein for next season?

Jena Malone attended the Los Angeles premiere for Tropic Thunder on Monday night dressed in a characteristically jarring ensemble of a black mini t-shirt dress, cinched with what appears to be a vintage leather enamel belt, and completed with a pair of short combat boots. Malone has been cultivating indie queen stature with roles in The Go Getter, Into The Wild and Donnie Darko. Her red carpet persona and aesthetic reflects her quirky brand of beauty. She is not unlike Chloe Sevigny or Samantha Morton in her approach to dressing; Interesting, eclectic, polarizing and often unflattering. Malone appears to be searching for her personal style as her hair color and cuts have run the gamut. About last nights outfit? I can hear moms everywhere saying: “Why is she doing this? The Vicky Cristina Barcelona crew (and Soon-Yi Previn) relaxed at the movie’s premiere after-party at Los Angeles’ W Hotel last night.  Allen’s latest film, set in Spain revolves around an odd love triangle hinged on Javier Bardem’s character.  Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz are the objects of his obsession, and eventually all the pieces fall into place as they find a happy medium in bed (which will undoubtedly satisfy fans of both actresses).  Opens August 15th!

To anyone who might feel a certain empty spot in their heart for a cute young redheaded actress with a husky voice, I might suggest filling that nagging void with Emma Stone. Stone attended the the Westwood premiere of Pineapple Express last night wearing a flattering dark periwinkle mini dress with chunky black heels. You might know her from Superbad, in which she played the cool, but down to earth object of Jonah Hill’s affections.

Lindsay Lohan, who charmed us with her freckles and spunk from The Parent Trap to Mean Girls attended the Allure Magazine Cover Party in Beverly Hills, a few miles down the road, looking very blond and quite cheerful in a sexy black minidress and tall metallic heels. Lohan, just two years Stone’s senior, has appeared in few box office smash movies as of late, but continues to draw riveted attention from the public and media for her dramatic off-screen adventures. Who is more fun to watch?

Last night the world premiere of ‘The Dark Knight’ was held at AMC Loews Lincoln Center in New York City. This film is the sequel to the 2005 film Batman Begins. The film opens in North America this weekend on July 18th. Be sure to reserve a ticket early, they are selling out fast. Glenn Close has been busy making her rounds at events in NYC - in the same outfit! At three recent events she is seen wearing the same (or parts of the same) ensemble. At the Broadway premieres of both Boeing Boeing (April 27) and A Catered Affair (May 4) Glenn posed for photographers wearing the same gold suit. At the FIT’s Couture Council Award (May 6) she wore a repeat necklace and clutch. Luckily Glenn repeatedly looks sleek and classy, so the outfit re-runs are okay. However, we do hope to see her in something new soon.
