Paris Hilton’s My New BFF premiered on MTV Tuesday night… and it was HOT. Sixteen Paris Hilton BFF potentials made their débuts and by the end of the first episode 5 had already been sent home.  After the cuts, Paris said goodbye until next week stating “Okay I have to get back to my life now”.  I know many of you are rolling your eyes or gagging over your keyboard but Paris is definitely a busy woman.  While she is “famous for being famous” she is also a businesswoman, movie/TV star, singer, entertainer, fashion designer, model, author and more.  People love to hate her and people hate to love her.  Stay tuned for more of Paris’ BFF search where she hopes to find someone who loves her just as much as she loves herself…which may prove to be a real challenge.

Paris Hilton arrives at Narita International Airport on May 30, 2008 in Narita, Japan. Firstly, hats off to Paris who looks great in a safari-esque khaki and navy top paired with a clashy geometric print skirt. Accompanying Paris are some fashionable gals, one of whom (far left) bears a summary similarity to Paris circa 2005-2006 (sans extensions). She is wearing two of Hilton’s favorite colors: aqua and yellow… together! The pocketed hoody is a piece Paris has donned for travel/disguise purposes in the past. I know, everyone and their brother wears a hoody. Yellow and aqua are colors of the moment. But the side-swept buttery, blond razored bob says it all! It’s OK, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Paris Hilton arrived at the grand opening of the Kim Vo Salon in Las Vegas, sportin’ a “B.M.” diamond ring—the initials of her new boyfriend, Benji Madden of the rock band Good Charlotte. Benji is brother to Joel Madden, lead singer of GC and baby daddy to Nicole Richie’s daughter, Harlow. Richie, of course, infamously co-starred with Paris on everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure, The Simple Life (breath!). What do you think of this cluster conversion of celebrity spawn? Discuss!

Late yesterday, the Associated Press issued a stern retraction of a news blip claiming that Paris Hilton was leading an effort to Save Drunken Elephants. Hilton’s confused publicist contacted the news organization to let them know that Hilton was involved in no such endeavor. Are the drunken elephants even real? It may be too hilarious to be true. Not that I support alcoholic elephants…

Noted humanitarian Paris Hilton, pictured above at last night’s launch for her new fragrance “Can Can Paris Hilton,” received public praise today from the animal rights organization People for Animals. Hilton is spearheading an effort to raise awareness of a herd of North Indian elephants that are getting jacked up on homemade rice beer and subsequently dying from exposure to electric fences in their drunken stupor. Hilton and various organizations are trying to convince local brewers to lock up their supplies, which the elephants are accessing with ease. These elephants are in good hands.

Paris Hilton (L) and sister Nicky Hilton (R) flashed Japan’s favorite gesture at a press party announcing the launch of the Samantha Thavasa Christmas collection at Club XROSS in Tokyo. The Hilton Sisters have been promotional models for Samantha Thavasa handbags for 5 years now and it has been almost 2 years since they last visited Japan. Do you think Paris’ Japanese fans wrote her while she was in jail?

“It’s been a great five years and we had so much fun. I’m happy to end it at that,” Paris Hilton told reporters at the Los Angeles premiere of Rush Hour 3 regarding the cancellation of her show The Simple Life, the series that made Hilton and Nicole Richie stars. Pictured with the film’s director, Brett Ratner at the after-party for the film, Hilton is already at work on her second album and will co-star in Repo! The Genetic Opera, a musical thriller. Hilton will play daughter to Paul Sorvino’s villainous organ-transplant magnate in the futuristic flick. The musical is set in 2056 and centers on a mysterious plague that threatens the survival of the human race.

James Befanis from Florida posed next to a wax figure of Paris Hilton dressed in a black and white striped jailbird suit on display on the red carpet at Madame Tussauds New York in New York City. The wax figure of Hilton dressed in the jailbird outfit will be on display at the museum in Times Square for the duration of her jail sentence. A judge sentenced Hilton to 45 days for violating the terms of her probation, after being arrested for driving with a suspended license. Police had pulled the heiress over in February while she was on probation for a previous drunk driving violation. Although sentenceed to serve 45 days, she could be released after 23 days for good behavior, court officials said. Hilton “was cooperative during the (booking) process, which included being fingerprinted, photographed, medically screened,” said Sergeant Diane Hecht of the Los Angeles Sheriff Department. The celebrity prisoner was “issued jail clothing, an orange top and pants, and personal hygiene items,” then escorted to her cell around 1 a.m. on Monday, Hecht said.
