Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie C. and Victoria Beckham of The Spice Girls showed their girl power at Roberto Cavalli’s fall 2008 menswear presentation in Milan. Cavalli designed the superstar group’s tour costumes for the The Return of the Spice Girls tour but the credit belongs to Victoria Beckham for hooking up her reunited bandmates with the outlandish designer, “I have known Victoria Beckham for a long time…and I have always admired her style and personality. When we talked about the worldwide tour, The Return of The Spice Girls, she put forward the idea of me creating all their costumes to which I immediately agreed,” Cavailli said to Ok-magazine.com. The girls returned the favor by wowing the crowd against Cavalli’s trademark leopard backdrop.

With a hot new video for her first single “2 Hearts” and a documentary film White Diamond, chronicling the Australian superstar’s “Showgirl Homecoming Tour”, the ultimate showgirl shows no signs of stopping after 20 years in the music business. She said of her return to the stage, “‘Showgirl’ is not only a celebration of [my] pop songs and my career, but of a long time relationship with my audience. This is my way to say thank you and to share some of the most important moments of my journey so far.”

At the 41st Annual CMA Awards, 17-year-old stunner Taylor Swift picked up the coveted Horizon Award, recognizing the enormous career progress of the statuesque high school senior from Nashville. Swift rose to fame first on the internet – a little-used marketing outlet for country music – using her MySpace page to promote her 2006 single “Tim McGraw.” The radio-dominated industry quickly welcomed her, and her self-titled 2006 debut album has already reached Platinum sales. The blonde starlet, who can always fall back on a Joss Stone costume for Halloween, cuts an imposing figure even without the diamond-studded guitar she rocked at the CMA Awards. Jennifer Lopez finally confirmed her pregnancy Wednesday night during a Miami stop on her and husband Marc Anthony’s El Cantante Tour. “Marc and I are expecting a baby!” said the superstar as she announced the news to a very surprised audience. Also surprised? Her husband, who looked completely caught off guard when the news was announced, but then gave a loving rub to his wife’s belly followed by a kiss. “I didn’t know she was going to talk,” Anthony said to the roaring crowd. Lopez picked perfect timing to make her not-so-surprising announcement at The South Florida concert which marked the last stop on her first-ever concert tour. “…We waited until the last show to tell you,” Lopez said.
