No one quite knows what happened with the breakup between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Ryan has even gone on record stating that Rachel was “one of the great loves of my life.” Patricia Clarkson, who is a good friend of Ryan’s and now costars with Rachel McAdams in Married Life, did not have to choose side in the tender split between the Notebook paramours. Playing the perfectly diplomatic friend, Clarkson and McAdams (in Alexander Wang) posed for pictures hand-in-hand, cheek-to-cheek at their New York City screening last evening. The king and queen of downtown cool did it again. Alexander Wang showed his second runway show to the very influential crowd that gathered at Eyebeam in New York City to see what the wunderkind cooked up for fall 2008. Developing his aesthetic of model-off-duty-cool, Wang took a more urban warrior approach this season showing layering upon layering that was best modeled by Amanda in look 12: shoes boots that were stuffed with socks, over legging over shorts but for all that armor his beanie wearing girls had on there was one black chiffon dress with a pleated tail that showed even the coolest girls i.e. the show’s stylist supermodel Erin Wasson loves a pretty party dress in the mix.

New BFF: Sims And Wang?

Molly Sims and designer Alexander Wang arrived at the launch of the Tweety Designer Collection at the Warner Bros. Tweety Boutique in Beverly Hills, California. Wang is preparing for his biggest season yet, launching a capsule collection of handbags for spring and collaborating with Manolo Blahnik on two one-of-a-kind shoes for his runway show. Blahnik is not the only a-lister to join Team Wang, the show will be styled by Lower East Side neighbor and Maybelline spokeswoman Erin Wasson and Steve Aoki will DJ the after-party. Will Molly attend the show?
