Well here it is again Los Angeles fashion week, and with the dream team consisting of Mark Mainz, covering the magic that is runway, Michael Buckner, harassing the celebrities and models back stage and front row, myself doing more runway, and our freelancers Katy Winn, Charley Gallay, covering sponsors and lobby we are all set to cover the glamorous world that is LA Fashion week.

The first thing I have to mention is that apart from Katy, none of us have any fashion sense. Even though Mark and I shoot over 200 shows a year, we are still in jeans and black t-shirts and non-the-wiser to the good, the bad and the ugly that is the fashion world.

From what I do know, designers worthy of mention include Heatherette. For those of you not familiar with this designer, just think of Melrose and the West Hollywood scene -throw in porn star Jenna Jameson, plenty of exposed flesh with fake dirt (men mainly) some tires on stage and lots of color and you have Heatherette. The jury is still out on if this is fashion or just an excuse to have a big flamboyant party.

Moving on we had Christian Audigier, another headliner designer with a big production, again in the same vein as Heatherette lots of models, some not quite sure which way is the right way to walk down a runway, lots of color and energy and lots and lots of branding on the clothes, cant wait to see Mainz in a Christian Audigier shirt with his name plastered across his chest.

This season I have noticed one big common denominator with the designers I have mentioned. Garbage. Check out the bin lids used on the models in Scotts show.

Finally I must put out a big thank you to Beach Bunny swimwear, no hidden messages here just girls in bikinis walking down a runway, showered, looking fresh and bouncy. Thank girls for cheering up the photographers at the end of the runway.
