Photographer Astrid Stawiarz and I checked out the Mao Magazine party last night in New York. While the space was conservative, The Broad Street Ballroom, the atmosphere and guests certainly were not! Mao Public Relations, which puts out a seasonal magazine every Fashion Week has an amazing roster of clients including Jason Wu, Chris Han, Jaydon Brusdon, amongst others. In the magazine, they profile some of New York’s most interesting people like Deborah Harry and Patrick McDonald (who attended the fiesta, natch). As if the night could have not gotten any better thanks to Barefoot Bubbly, the audience was treated to an avant-garde rendition of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” performed by Kembra Pfahler and her mini-me Amanita, as well as The Ones who are just as visually stunning as their music is. I don’t know if I will be able to wait till next season’s party!
